Immersive Theater & Role-Play

“One does not go to the theater to escape from himself, but to reestablish contact with the mystery that we all are”. A. Jorodowsky

Immersive theatre is the mirror that reflects the untold stories within us. Stepping into another character isn't just an act; it's a profound journey of self-discovery and an invitation to explore the vast tapestry of human experience. In embodying new facets of ourselves, we transcend the limits of our own beings, transforming our imagination into a new reality that extends beyond our domain of possibilities.

In the immersive dance of performer and participant, we open doors to unexplored realms within ourselves and others, going beyond everyday boundaries. Immersive theatre and LARPs create a sanctuary for self-discovery, one character at a time.

RIMA Odyssey - The New Renaissance Tuscany, 2023

What if Artificial Intelligence was a gift to redefine the core of our Human foundations? How can we thrive in the New Renaissance era which is currently taking place where spirituality meets AI and where we create a new vision of Humanity?

Acting as an agender AI entity, I challenged participants with the concept of owning a being capable of fulfilling all their needs, delving into the shadows of potential slavery. This exploration confronted them with the fantasy of human ownership and their relationship to a non-judgmental entity before urging them to face their own self-judgment.

Additionally, I portrayed a female character trapped in a reality of social media and screen addiction. This character discovers liberation by perceiving herself through the eyes of others, using them as her own mirror.

RIMA Odyssey - La Mano at Zunya Costa Rica, 2023

What if the magic of our hands was a bridge, connecting us to the wisdom of our ancestors, the rhythms of nature, and the core of our own existence? What if we could see all being interconnected and embrace the idea of the natural world not being a backdrop of our lives but an integral part of it?

With fingers as subtle whisperers, I guided them, bare in their vulnerability, to a mud bath crafted beside a tree. We embarked on a journey back to the primal source of all creation — the very soil from which they emerged and to which they will return. In a poetic and tranquil communion with the Earth, they surrendered to the wisdom of the soil, becoming one with nature.

Exploring characters from the underworld and our relationship with mortality

  • New Horizon Odyssey

“You have to die a few times first before you can really live” C. Bukowski

In the mounts of Sintra, we embarked on an exploration of death as a profound means to reconnect with our own existence. We delved into the shadows of mortality, dismantling fear and embracing the beauty inherent in our transient nature. Inspired by ancient Egyptian and Mexican rituals, we crafted an immersive evening, assuming roles as characters from the underworld. This immersive odyssey served as a reflective portal, transporting participants to other realms and inviting them to return enriched to their own existences.

The experience, rather than fostering a sense of finality, became a catalyst for a richer, more meaningful connection with our own existence, weaving threads of gratitude and and embracing authenticity.

  • Totenpicnick - Day of the Dead

Joining the artist collective Music Ashram, I delved into my own character from the underworld to celebrate death over an evening of music, poetry, and performances.

From ritualistic meditative times to collective jamming and dancing moments, we honored all those who have passed away as part of a Day of the Dead performance.

  • 5 days to Live & Die

After participating in a profound five-day workshop, where we were guided through the preparation for our own death via workshops, embodiment practices, psychomagic rituals, and partner exercises, I collaborated closely with the facilitator.

I assisted her during night beach burials, participated in eulogy sharing, and contributed to theatrical rituals, actively becoming our own imaginary characters from the underworld in the process.
